About Kings County REACT
REACT is a network of committed volunteers with a desire to assist their communities during emergencies or disasters.
When disasters strike, our members provide their expertise, strengthening local resources to speed up relief efforts.
Our members bring a diverse range of skills to disaster situations, including communication expertise, logistical support, and medical training.
From establishing emergency communication networks to providing on-the-ground assistance, REACT members play a vital role in disaster response.
Imagine the chaos of a natural disaster: communication lines are down, roads are blocked, people are in urgent need of help. In these critical moments, REACT steps in.
Carrying on the legacy of Brooklyn Area REACT of the 1970s, Kings County REACT Team #6287 was chartered by REACT International on November 28, 2024. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we serve our fellow New Yorkers in the Borough of Brooklyn by providing vital emergency communication services during disasters such as hurricanes, floods, and blackouts. Our dedicated volunteers are committed to ensuring that critical information flows smoothly during times of crisis, helping to keep our community safe. Through rigorous training and practice, we ensure our team is prepared to respond effectively when needed.
